Headmistress
Katarzyna Zalewska
My name is Katarzyna Zalewska and I have been teaching primary year students for twenty years. This profession is my destiny as I am a teacher's daughter, granddaughter, sister, sister-in-law and niece. I have had the opportunity to experience the American education system in the USA, having my own children attend elementary school there. I also worked for three years as a headmistress and a teacher in the Polish section of the International School in Belgium.
After coming back to Poland and working in a lovely private school in Bemowo, Warsaw, I moved to Norway where I had the honour of working at the British International School for three years. This amazing experience helped me later with my decision to work for this fantastic place, The International European School, Warsaw. It is here that I found students who are ambitious, intelligent and full of passion as well as professional teachers who make great colleagues to work with. I am very happy and really proud to be part of the IES.
